Why chose me?
Having had experience at many truss plants I have learned there are many different theories to design trusses,
For example some plants design with a 10% overbuild as a safety factor. some say "if you can save $1.00 on a $300.00 truss do it".
Some want you to build in the drops (flat area in vaulted ceilings), some want the customer to do it.
Some want the steppes in the filler area on the roof built into the truss some want all common and have the customer fill it in.
Some plants use span loads, some point loads for girders.
Some plants say "we do the trusses the way we want to and that's what the customer gets".
some design what the customer wants.
I am familiar with many methods and will do them to your specs.
I have default methods: depending on a few questions.
Do you have a specific design method:

1. Do you design just common trusses and have the customer do all the fill-ins lower (ceilings).
1b. If you do fill-ins do you do them as non-structural (I) or built into the truss (II).
Ia] Having common truss and non structural bottom cords is faster to build.
Ib] Is more expensive, there is more wood involved.
Ic] Is better for errors, the non structural part can be removed with no engineering for repairs.

IIa] Slower to build.
IIb] Less expensive, less wood.

Either way one simple thing to eliminate errors is to have the vertical part set back 1"

1b. If you do fill-ins do you do them as structural one part (I) or built it as 2 structural parts (II)
Ia] Having common truss and structural top-cords is faster to build

IIb] less expensive, less wood


Do you do span loads, point loads, or lb per square foot loads on girders?
I personally do only point loads this is the most accurate.
